Paraffin body wrap
Thermotherapy,
which includes paraffin wraps, has been a method used by mankind since ancient times. It is a very simple but relatively effective way to eliminate a number of ailments. However, paraffin wraps are not only applied for health reasons, but they also have beautifying effects and are therefore also very usefull for cosmetics and massages. Paraffin is a designation for a special wax that is obtained during the distillation of crude oil. Its advantage and at the same time the reason why it is used for body wraps is the ability to retain heat for a long time, which in contact with the skin can pass on the heat to the treated areas. Under normal conditions, paraffin is in the form of a solid wax, which must first be warmed to a liquid form before application to the skin. The temperature of such a mass is then around 55 ° C. It is then applied to the client's body, where it will remain for 20-30 minutes. During them, the tissues are gradually warmed and circulated and the active minerals are transferred to the skin, which speeds up the cell's metabolism, leads to regeneration and also reduces muscle and joint tension. It also brings significant pain relief.
Apart from the whole-body wrap, however, there are also its local forms. These wraps are most often applied to the clevage, face, back, hands, feet, knees and elbows, where paraffin softens the skin, removes dead cells, in the case of cracked skin to nourish and moisturize it, and foot wraps also help with cracked heels.
The most popular include paraffin wraps for hands and feet, the paraffin wraps not only strengthen nails, leaves beautiful soft silky skin, its visible and immediate rejuvenation, but also relaxes joints, helps with stiff wrists, which are the result of unilateral strain, for example when working on a computer. After the wrap, the hands and feet are very well rested and, of course, there is also a high cosmetic effect. The hands and feet are smooth, soft and velvety. However, paraffin can also be applied to other areas as needed, such as the face, clevage, back, and more. Especially in the treatment of clevage, paraffin wraps are very effective and bring an immediate result, when after application the skin is softened and smoothed. Finally, it is necessary to mention that paraffin wraps have a positive effect on the removal of cellulite symptoms and is therefore often part of its treatment.
Of course, paraffin wraps also have their contraindications, which are open wounds, magnesium states, pregnancy, acute skin diseases or hypersensitivity to heat.
