Cupping massage
It may seem unbelievable, but a centuries-old method of cupping can help you with back pain, colds, but even cellulite. However, some bruises will remain on your body for a few days as a memory.
The first mention of cupping comes not only from China, but also from ancient Egypt and Greece. It is a treatment method that is often combined with acupuncture.
Cupp and flame
The cupp treatment is carried out by heating the inside of the glass cupp with a flame, creating a vacuum in it and applying the cupp to the skin. Thanks to this, the tissue is perfused very intensely, which a classic massage cannot do. After applying the cupp, a hematoma will form on your skin, which is not painful at all, it will only remain as "a memory" for a few days. Cupp are applied to reflex zones, acupuncture points, shu points, directly to the sore spot or are used for massage.
And what can capping help you with?
Mainly against back and spine pain, they also relax stiff muscles, stimulate blood circulation, endocrine system and internal organs, increase peristalsis, improve digestion and absorption of nutrients, and are very effective against cellulite.
It is also stated that cupping has a beneficial effect on the detoxification of the body and has a positive effect on migraines. It can also help you with a cold. But it is important to come at the beginning.
Cupping Massage – A Time-Tested Method of Regeneration
For massages lasting one hour or more, we begin with the application of massage oil and a gentle manual massage to relax the muscles and prepare the body for the next steps. We then move on to silicone cup massage, which involves gliding the cups over the entire back – starting at the lower back, passing through the kidney area, intercostal muscles, traps, shoulders, and along the spinal erectors.
Next comes a dynamic massage using traditional Chinese thick-walled glass cups. These cups are applied with the help of a flame, alternately creating suction and release as they move in a zigzag pattern along the spinal erectors. This technique is repeated several times to stimulate blood flow and deeply relax the muscles.
The session concludes with a static cupping routine. This begins with placing the largest cup on the lower back and gradually arranging additional cups along the spine, shoulder blades, and trapezius muscles. The final step involves placing a large cup at the nape of the neck. This setup remains in place for approximately 30 minutes, allowing the cups to work their magic.
After removing the cups, we finish with gentle strokes to calm and soothe the body. Over the next few days, you will notice a pleasant relaxation in your back. The cupping marks (bruises) stimulate the body's natural healing response by directing blood rich in oxygen and nutrients to the affected areas. This not only helps repair the marks themselves but also rejuvenates stiff muscles, fascia, tendons, intervertebral discs, and other tissues.
Cupping massage is a time-tested and highly effective technique that promotes relaxation, improves circulation, and supports overall regeneration.
The effects of the cupping method can be simply summarized as follows:
- acceleration of metabolism in the skin
- improvement of sweat and sebaceous glands
- increase of nutrient supply to tissues
- support of skin regeneration and increase of its resistance to various harmful substances
- stimulation of blood and lymphatic circulation
- in the joints there is an increased secretion of synovial fluid
- spasms around the affected joint are removed
- stimulation of internal organs
- increase of peristalsis
- motility of the digestive system
- improves digestion and absorption of nutrients
- nerve endings are stimulated
