How to heal bruises and cracks on your feets
What is an appliance pedicure?
Instrument pedicure, also medical pedicure or dry pedicure, is a professional treatment of the feet, especially the nails and soles, by trained personnel who use special high-speed devices with milling machines for the treatment.
Pedicure performed with professional and certified devices is gentler and practically irreplaceable when dealing with ingrown nails. This method of pedicure is extremely gentle, very effective and suitable for at-risk population groups, especially diabetics.
What is the difference between a dry pedicure and a wet pedicure?
As the name suggests, with a dry pedicure, the feet are not wet before the treatment and are worked with dry. A wet pedicure uses a disposable scalpel to trim the skin, while a dry instrument pedicure uses grinders to sand the feet.
Advantages of a dry pedicure versus a wet one
As mentioned earlier, in a wet pedicure, the feet are soaked and then trimmed with a scalpel. Unfortunately, in addition to the dead skin, part of the living skin is also cut off, to which the foot reacts defensively by growing more skin. So if you have a problem with calloused skin, it's a bit of a vicious cycle. Also, a deeper cut of the skin with a scalpel causes pain in the areas when you stand up.
Whereas with a dry instrument pedicure, only the dead part of the skin is removed and the foot has no reason to grow more, and when you stand up, you will feel lightness and the feeling of new feet. From my own experience, I know several clients who had a problem with calloused skin and after a few visits the problem disappeared.
Of course, it is also important to take care of your feet and lubricate them with nourishing creams.
Another difference is that if the feet get wet and they don't look before, a lot of things can remain hidden from us. Such as cracked heels, which can be a major health risk, especially for diabetics, but not only for them. There is no risk of such a thing with a dry pedicure, because we notice it right away and can start solving the problem, when we are offered a number of cosmetic products for the treatment of cracks on the heels.
Another advantage of a dry pedicure is beautifully smooth feet compared to a wet one, where various irregularities are created using a scalpel.
